Overview of the Base Upgrade Project
Zhejiang Volcano Machinery Co., Ltd. has recently finished a round of systematic production upgrade at its core manufacturing base in Jinhua, Zhejiang. Covering a total land area of 40,000 square meters with a construction area of 32,000 square meters, the Jinhua factory serves as the central R&D and production hub for the brand FOAMMATE. This upgrade targets precision assembly lines, raw material inspection stations and finished-product aging test workshops for PU foam guns, silicone sealant guns and chemical anchoring adhesive applicators.
Optimizations to Precision Assembly & Quality Control
The renovation introduced automated torque testing stations and digital visual inspection units for gun body components. In the past, key assembly links such as valve fitting and trigger structure calibration relied heavily on manual checking. The new digital testing system records each product’s assembly data automatically, and flags parts that do not meet tolerance standards before they move to the next station. The adjustment is designed to cut down assembly inconsistency and reduce after-sales feedback related to air leakage and trigger jamming.
Supply Chain Stability for European and North American Partners
Most of Volcano’s output is supplied to well-known brands across the fastener, PU foam and construction adhesive sectors in Europe and the United States. Stable, traceable production capacity is a core requirement from these long-term clients. The upgraded Jinhua base can arrange flexible batch production for both large brand OEM orders and small-batch customized hardware tool orders from regional importers.
Outcomes and Future Production Plan
After commissioning, the qualified rate of finished foam guns has improved notably. The team also built a dedicated spare parts warehouse for after-market support, to shorten delivery lead time for replacement gun nozzles, seals and trigger assemblies. The company states that this upgrade lays the groundwork for coordinating production schedules between the Jinhua headquarters and its Thailand branch, to balance regional order demands across Southeast Asia, Europe and North America.
